Two words, Barack Obama. 2009. This man is more than a president, he is a symbol for change, innovation, wit, intelligence, strength, inspiration. Whatever he symbolizes for you, it is safe to say we need change and it looks as though he has already helped raise care in our everyday citizen.People seem to be joining a cause. That is all that matters.. people are beginning to care once again and the numbing carelessness that has surrounded Americans in the past few years seems to be diminishing. I thought I'd share some of my thoughts on this very historic week and embrace the new office. Let's hope for some positive changes in the next year. I know New York City is bumpin right now.. everyone seems to have a little bit more of a hop in their step. So, I'll leave my first post with one of my favorite quotes..
"Not everybody can be famous but everybody can be great because greatness is determined by service. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's theory of relativity to serve. You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics and physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love." - Martin Luther King Jr.
